Creating a release in SymphonicMS just got a lot smoother.
Introducing our newest workflow update for Symphonic clients: artist page linking during release creation! Now, when you create a new artist while building a release or track, you can search for and link their Spotify and Apple Music artist pages right there in the same flow.
No extra tabs, no jumping back to the artist roster, no getting stopped at submission because a required artist link is missing.
Here’s everything you need to know…
Artist Page Linking: Connect Spotify and Apple Music Profiles While Creating a Release
About Artist Page Linking
Artist page linking is now available inside the SymphonicMS release creation flow. When you add a new artist during release or track creation, you can search for their Spotify and Apple Music artist pages directly from the artist creation modal.
Instead of manually leaving the release builder to find and add those links later, you can now handle it at the exact moment the artist is created.
With this update, Symphonic clients can:
- Search for an artist by name and view matching Spotify and Apple Music results
- Select the correct artist profile directly inside the creation flow
- Paste in a Spotify or Apple Music artist page link when needed
- Keep building the release without leaving the workflow
- Catch missing artist links earlier with new submission-time warnings
Especially for artists with common names, labels managing multiple artists, and new clients setting up their first releases in SymphonicMS, this one’s for you.
What does this mean for Symphonic clients?
Accurate artist links are one of the most important parts of a clean release submission. They help DSPs understand exactly which artist profile your release should connect to, reducing the chance of mapping issues once your music is delivered.
Before this update, clients who created a new artist during release setup couldn’t link Spotify or Apple Music artist pages in that same step. That meant they could reach the final submission stage, get flagged for a missing artist link, leave the release flow, update the artist from the roster page, then return to finish the submission.
Now, that step lives where it should: inside the release creation process.
💡For example: If you’re creating a new release for an artist with a common name, you can search directly inside SymphonicMS, review the available Spotify and Apple Music results, and choose the correct profile before moving forward. If the right result doesn’t appear, you can paste the artist page link manually and keep going.
Built to Make Release Submission Faster and Cleaner
This update was designed to fix one of the most common friction points in the release submission process.
Missing artist links can create unnecessary back-and-forth at the exact moment you’re trying to finalize a release. For new clients, that can make the setup process feel harder than it needs to be. For labels and managers working across larger rosters, it adds extra steps that slow down the whole workflow.
By bringing Spotify and Apple Music artist linking directly into artist creation, SymphonicMS now helps clients solve the issue before it becomes a submission problem.
We’ve also added submission-time warnings that flag missing artist links before a release is finalized. Together, these updates give artists, labels, and managers a cleaner path from release setup to submission.
Less friction. Fewer avoidable warnings. Faster releases.
