Sweden has an emerging duo that knows exactly how to get a room moving. Rikky Disco mix sassy grooves with a splash of 70s glamour, and their September collab with Birdee, “Gimme All You Got,” brings all of that and then some!
The visuals give a preview of half the song, and it totally hooks you because it feels fun and super catchy. If retro melodies are your thing, discovering these geniuses is going to make your day!
A Disco Jam That Gets Everyone Moving
If I’m not wrong, this jam is kind of inspired by the Sugarhill Gang’s legendary hit, “Rapper’s Delight.” Not so much the tongue twisters of that amazing rap, obviously, but definitely a bit of the rhythm and structure.
Vocalist Fanny Ulrika Wahlqvist sounds so sexy that her voice seduces your ears right away. The beats, produced by Christian Jonson, are vibrant too, which means your feet are going to start moving on autopilot whether you like it or not.
“Gimme All You Got” is that Disco song that brings everyone together, where the magic happens on the dancefloor. That’s the philosophy of this up-and-coming duo, who, in my opinion, deserve way more recognition, since the vintage quality of their productions is on the same level as the golden era of the 70s, where it all started.
Beyond ‘Gimme All You Got’
This dynamic duo has been making music since 2019 with their debut “Getting High,” a track with nostalgic synths that are like honey for your ears.
That said, their catalog is slowly growing. Besides “Gimme All You Got,” my favorite ones to check out are definitely “I Want You Back” and “Summer’s Gone.”
Both of them are amazing bangers loaded with emotion, and even some lines in French!
Without further ado, check out their socials for more surprises.
