International Dance music icon Kristine W is back to ignite dance floors worldwide once again with the release of her highly anticipated new album, ‘Dance With Me,’ out now as of May 15.
Leading the project is her uplifting new single, “Next To You,” a vibrant celebration of connection, joy, and the power of togetherness.
A defining voice in Dance music for nearly three decades, Kristine W continues to evolve while staying true to the uplifting spirit that has earned her 17 Billboard #1 Dance hits. With ‘Dance With Me,’ she delivers a dynamic, genre-spanning collection that blends Progressive House, Afro House, Future Disco, and Tech House, all anchored by her signature soulful vocals.
The Inspiration Behind “Next To You”
At the heart of the album is “Next To You,” a track inspired by the emotional aftermath of global isolation.
“The message is that life is better and people are happier when they are together,” says Kristine W. “We didn’t fully appreciate that until we were all locked down during COVID. Life is more rewarding when you’re sharing it with those you love. The joy of togetherness elevates and inspires us. We are better together.”
Written by Kristine W and acclaimed UK-based producer Rob Buttons (aka Freejak) with a standout mix from the newly reunited, renowned British duo Soul Seekerz, “Next To You” delivers a classic European House sound with global appeal.
The single holds deep personal meaning for Kristine, who found the absence of live performance during the pandemic particularly challenging.
“Being around my dancers, musicians, and audiences fuels my creativity,” she shares. “I missed my people and just wanted to get next to everyone again.”
A Celebration of Legacy and New Directions
That longing for connection is woven throughout ‘Dance With Me,’ an album that doubles as both a celebration of Kristine W’s legacy and a bold step forward. The project features updated versions of her classic hits alongside brand-new material, created in collaboration with a global roster of top-tier producers.
The album also includes unexpected reinterpretations, such as an Electro-Lounge take on “Smooth Operator” and a genre-blending reimagining of “Danger Zone.”
“The producers on this album are a who’s who of dance music,” says Kristine W. “These are people I’ve worked with and built relationships with over the years. There’s so much love in this project.”
The album’s title, ‘Dance With Me,’ holds special significance, drawing inspiration from Disco legend Donna Summer as well as Kristine W’s lifelong love of Dance music.
“People have been dancing with me for 30 years,” she reflects. “Seeing fans from the beginning still with me today, along with new generations discovering my music, is incredibly gratifying.”

A Journey of Resilience and Joy
From her early days as a Jazz-trained musician in Washington State to her rise as one of the most celebrated voices in Dance music, Kristine W has built a career defined by resilience, passion, and authenticity. A leukemia survivor and independent artist, she continues to create music that resonates deeply with fans around the world.
Distributed globally through The Orchard and released on her own Fly Again Music label, ‘Dance With Me’ represents a full-circle moment in Kristine W’s journey, bridging her past, present, and future.
“I hope people enjoy hearing their favorite songs with a fresh new sound, along with discovering new ones,” she says. “I’m always reinventing and creating, but the goal is the same: to bring joy.”
With ‘Dance With Me’ and “Next To You,” Kristine W once again proves that her music is more than just sound. It’s a shared experience, a celebration of life, and an invitation to come together on the dancefloor.
“We’re literally making joyful noise,” she adds. “And the world needs more of that.”
