What’s New With Symphonic Starter: More Tools, Same Vision

At Symphonic, we’ve always believed independent artists deserve access to powerful music technology, innovative tools, and a platform built for long-term careers, not just a place to upload files.

That belief is why we built Symphonic Starter, and it’s what’s behind the update we’re announcing today.

More Tools, More Value: What’s Changing With Symphonic Starter

Starting May 11, 2026, new Starter subscriptions will be $29.99 per year. Existing clients won’t see this change until August 9, 2026, at the earliest, and annual subscribers will stay on their current rate until their next renewal cycle.

The biggest addition: Release Campaign Builder, a custom-tailored marketing plan tool previously exclusive to our Partner-tier clients, is now coming to Starter. It’s designed to help you build smarter release strategies to push your music further, build momentum, and maximize its impact.

This feature joins a toolkit that already goes well beyond basic distribution, along with SplitShare, which lets collaborators receive royalties and access analytics without needing their own paid membership.

As our platform has evolved, we have continued investing in the core technology behind Starter so artists can do more from one place, with better visibility, better workflows, and a better overall experience.

Built to Keep Growing

Symphonic Starter was never designed to be the bare minimum. From the beginning, our goal was to give artists access to technology and infrastructure that goes far beyond a standard upload-only experience.

We know price changes matter. We are not making this one lightly.

This update reflects the value we’ve built into Starter, the broader ecosystem we continue to invest in, and the kind of platform we want Symphonic to be for real artists in the years ahead.

Protecting the Platform for Legitimate Artists

The music industry is entering a new phase. The volume of content being created and submitted is increasing rapidly, and AI is part of that reality.

We see opportunity in new technology, and we are actively building tools that can make our service better, smarter, and more useful for artists. But we also believe platforms have a responsibility to protect the integrity of the ecosystem they are building.

That means continuing to invest in the systems, review processes, and platform standards that support legitimate artists and rightsholders. It means building for quality, accountability, and long-term trust.

Our goal is not to become the biggest upload pipeline. Our goal is to build a better environment for artists who are serious about their music, rights, and long-term careers.

Our Commitment Stays The Same

We know artists have options. We also know trust is earned.

This pricing update is about continuing to invest in a platform that delivers meaningful technology, supports serious artists, and creates lasting value over time.
