Helping artists and labels grow takes more than just delivering music to DSPs. It takes communication, strategy, problem-solving, and a team that understands each client’s goals. From answering questions and guiding releases to helping clients navigate opportunities, client management plays a huge role in making sure artists feel supported every step of the way.
Here at Symphonic, Danielle Duarte helps support that effort as one of our Client Managers. 🎶 ✨ She works closely with artists, labels, and partners to support their day-to-day needs, strengthen relationships, and make sure clients have the guidance they need to keep moving forward.
Danielle plays a key role in helping our clients feel heard, supported, and set up for success. In this spotlight, we’re excited to shine a light not only on her but also on the incredible work she does within our Client Management team. Get to know her below…

What’s one service or tool at Symphonic that you think more artists should take advantage of?
“Our Reuse Existing Track tool. It allows you to import existing tracks when you are building a new release. By searching via track title or ISRC code, you can import the audio, metadata, and credits from a previously submitted and approved track on your account…
This comes in super handy when building out albums or waterfalled releases and saves so much time.”
What’s one thing you wish more artists knew before reaching out for support?
“I wish more people knew about our Sym Help Desk.
It’s full of helpful tips, resources, and step-by-step walkthroughs covering every part of what we do. There’s a very good chance you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for there, and it will be explained in even more detail than I could probably cover in a quick email.”
What’s one of the most common support questions you get? Could you answer it here?
“This one: ‘Why was my release rejected?’
We only reject releases when they don’t follow DSP guidelines, and we know they won’t be accepted in their current state. It’s less about us being strict, but more about protecting our artists from submitting content that could be removed or flagged.
The biggest reasons for rejection are metadata and ISRC mismatches. This includes things like inconsistent credits across tracks with the same ISRC and mismatches between the cover art and credits.
For example, you can’t list an artist as featured in the metadata if they’re credited as primary on the artwork. Apple Music usually has the strictest requirements, so I recommend using them as a baseline.”
What’s a common mistake artists make that’s easy to avoid with the right prep?
“Treating the release day as the start of the campaign efforts… it should actually be the midpoint!
Artists shouldn’t overlook the importance of pre-release marketing. This is the time to build anticipation, tease visuals and clips, and give fans a reason to care. And once the release is out, the campaign isn’t over. This is when you should push content, press, playlist pitching, and ongoing engagement to keep momentum alive.
Too many artists either neglect the pre-release build or treat release day as the finish line, and forget that the key is continuous promotion at every stage.”
Can you share a moment when you felt you really made a difference for an artist?
“My client Kate Havnevik had a big viral moment last year after a remix of her track ‘Unlike Me‘ blew up on TikTok. Taking inspiration from a similar, same-genre moment we saw with Imogen Heap’s “Headlock” (who we also represent), I encouraged Kate’s team to lean into the momentum by releasing an EP built around the original track, along with several remixes, including the viral one. This way, new listeners could easily find their way back to the original song and her wider catalog.
It was amazing to see years of hard work reach a fresh audience in this way, and I was proud to have been part of it!”
What’s your music venue in Tampa to check out live music?
“Jannus Live! Over the past year, I was able to catch the Inhaler and Houndmouth shows there.”
Who are you listening to/loving right now?
“I’ve been loving the recent music from my clients, HAFFWAY and Mo Lowda and the Humble!”
