The Synthpop album, ‘things we’ve remixed,’ is not just any release. It’s made for true fans of the genre. SoftWave celebrates a decade-long career by giving new life to their best hits with 9 high-quality remixes that give the original versions a fresh feel!
Vocalist and songwriter Catrine Christensen, alongside keyboardist and producer Jerry Olsen, have spent years showing they’ve got a chemistry that’s hard to match in the music scene. What SoftWave Is Celebrating With This Album
With ‘things we’ve remixed,’ the award-winning duo is marking about 10 years of their career, plus the connections and friendships made with other talented artists and the shows all over Europe, well beyond their native Denmark.
And there’s more! The Synthpop album isn’t just digital. In particular, vinyl and CD collectors will love the physical formats, which are already available at the elasticStage store and can be shipped to your door anywhere in the world.
As a result, listeners can carry a little piece of SoftWave’s story with them, driven by timeless melodies that never lose their spark.

International Producers Work Their Magic
As you’d expect, SoftWave closes this first chapter on a high note by inviting international producers to work their magic on the remixes. Among them are Cicero, Vainerz, ASPRA, Antilles, Black Nail Cabaret, Sacki, Octolab and Diskodiktator.
Undoubtedly, you’ll notice they’re experts at keeping that Pop essence while boosting the compositions with electrifying beats and pulsing basslines. Even so, I wouldn’t call them underground club material. They fit better in a bar or at a get-together with friends at home.
Literally, these are alternate versions that are still radio-friendly, to my taste. Simply put, you can keep singing along at the top of your lungs, only now the songs get a bold twist, and that makes them even more fascinating.
One of my favorites is the rework of “Supernova.” Its cosmic, mysterious atmosphere hits hard in the new intro. The chorus is also a treat for the ears, now backed by a faster rhythm and Catrine’s stunning voice.
Just as addictive and hard to get out of your head is the fresh take on “Thank You For Breaking My Heart.” It’s the one that will get you moving the most, and it’s something you’ll easily relate to.
Admittedly, I would have loved to hear a remixed version of “System Failure,” another of their memorable gems, but the tunes included are more than enough to crank up the volume and enjoy lyrics written with heart and a sound polished with quality synths.
What more could you ask for? ‘things we’ve remixed’ sets the standard for how a Synthpop album should be done.
