Glassio and Loren Berí join forces to deliver a catchy Electro-Pop piece. The “Al Pacino” music video includes the lyrics so you can sing the song, which feels quite anthemic.
It may sound crazy, but the title of this new tune came about after Glassio became obsessed with the 1995 thriller Heat, which stars the one and only Al Pacino, who at the same time reminds him a lot of his own father.
If you’re a fan of the film star, you’ll appreciate the reference, but what you’ll really love are those vibrant falsettos, which recall the best of the Bee Gees and Jake Shears.
An Instant Discovery: Prepare to Hit Repeat
This jam is currently surpassing 30,000 streams on Spotify, an impressive count that already outpaces the views of the “Al Pacino” music video, which, by the way, is 100% worth watching!
Musically speaking, it perfectly integrates dreamy, nostalgic, and melancholic elements. While the synthesizers and other instruments make it sound fantastic, the contrasting vocal interplay between Glassio and Loren Berí truly elevates the track too.
As a first-time listener and discoverer of these NYC-based artists, I’m already eager to hear more of their compositions. Hopefully, you’ll have the same reaction when you finish listening to (or repeating) this great song.
Finally, I don’t want to get into interpreting the lyrics, as they surely have several meanings, and I’ll leave that up to you.
The Accidental Hook That Stuck
Surprisingly, such a dope melody essentially came together by accident. Loren Berí had the track arranged but couldn’t quite land the chorus. It wasn’t until a casual session with Glassio that the title and the hook were born.
Glassio tossed out the phrase “Al Pacino / where did we go wrong” as a temporary idea, but it was so infectious that they couldn’t get rid of it!
Together, they quickly realized their sonic mission: blend modern, sleek vocals with a classic touch. In the end, the whole process was simply a natural spark of creative chemistry.
Listen once, and you’ll instantly be counting the days until their next release.
